Are art shows dead?
I remember reading that several years ago and knowing I certainly did not want that! I love art shows. There was a time when art shows were the lifeblood of the art world. People flocked to them. Fairs, shows, festivals, and more. (Some 30-plus years ago, I used to do a balloon festival that was well-attended and great for my wallet.) 😊
I know that a lot of things have changed. The internet helped and hindered. Show booths cost more. People have more going on in their lives. Lots of reasons.
But there are still great shows.
Art Shows are not dead
And if you are like me, you love to go to them. Last year my wife, and grandson, Jacob, were able to visit several of them in the area. Last year, I went to shows in several places. And in New England at this time of the year, they are all over the place. And I must imagine other places as well.
One of the features we have introduced here is a working calendar that displays your events.

The process is a simple one. You create a listing. You may select the Free or Paid mode. Both offer you the ability to post events. Once your listing is complete, you can then post the listing(s) that you would like. (And most events are approved within 1 day.)
We currently have listings for art shows, concerts that art is being shown at, pop-up shows and more!
Artists and art communities, we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and let others know as well. Your shows are important to the culture of the arts, as much as your own art is. Beautifying the world through art is one of the ways we can change the culture for the better.
How will you answer, “are art shows dead?”
I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity and make it better for the patrons of the arts.
