Art is a world changer. It evokes emotions, inspires, and provokes. It makes people feel good, causes them to question, and delivers people to worlds of interest.
The creator releases their inner life and puts it out for all the world to see. The viewer is invited into the creator’s world.
“The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke.” – Jerzy Kosinski
I grew up around art. My mom had our home decorated with art of all cultures. She brought us (Sometimes kicking and screaming. ) to museums and to shows. And while art classes in schools introduced a variety of art, I loved photography. For years I had a camera in my hands. Over the years, I met photographers and artists and worked with a lot of them. At one point I had a small art gallery, and a store that sold local arts, crafts, and clothing.
Over the last few years, I began taking my grandson to see art and photography. I put a camera in his hand. Last year I worked with him to put together a few videos.
“Creativity takes courage.” – Henri Matisse
I love the creators and I love the created. When Matisse says, “creativity takes courage,” I think it to be so true. (This past weekend, a young woman presented me with a picture she had drawn. It took courage to create and it took courage to bring it before a group of people.)
Over the next few weeks, we are going to develop an online gallery of paintings, photographs, and limited editions. We will take it slow, so we can provide you with the best work of the people we collaborate with. It will be a gathering of artists and photographers who we want to help get their creativity to the world.
Premium art at everyday prices.
That is our goal.
We invite creators, galleries, studios, and shops to join us on this journey. (Any business can be in our directory.)
We hope to have all kinds of creativity happening. Even the kind some may not “understand.”
“You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free. Everything that is contradictory creates life. Salvador Dalí
“I think being different, going against the grain of society is the greatest thing in the world.” – Elijah Wood
Art. The world loves it. The creator makes it.
Our world needs art. It needs to see the creative force released. And it needs to be everywhere.
